New chef de cuisine

A passionate cook, a man with a wealth of experience, a man of nature - that is the new chef de cuisine at AQARIUM.

Christopher Grassall is 35 years old and lives in Köstendorf near Salzburg. Growing up with his grandparents on a mountain farm in Styria, he was allowed to help his grandmother Josefine in the kitchen at a young age - which planted the seed for his later career. His handwriting today is also shaped by his childhood in an agricultural environment, where people produced, bred, managed and processed themselves.

Formative stations in his career included the Hotel Jagdhaus Monzabon in Lech am Arlberg and the Steirereck am Pogusch, one of the spearheads of Austrian cuisine. In the St. Peter Stiftskulinarium, the new head chef of the AQARIUM cooked up 2 toques right away. The experienced chef sees taking over the management of the AQARIUM as a welcome challenge to further develop "fine dining" in a great environment, Geinberg5.

"I would like to thank our outgoing chef de cuisine, Peter Reithmayr, for his great work in our house, for 10 years of consistently excellent culinary art, which has been reflected in many awards, including 2 toques in Gault & Millau and 3 forks in Falstaff for many years reflected", says Karl Berghammer, Managing Director of the SPA Resort Geinberg.
